Architecting the foundation for B2B health consultations
Designing the initial 0-to-1 MVP for Viveo’s B2B platform, focusing on clinical onboarding, patient management, and tele-consultation workflows.
The Problem
The Complexity of Early-Stage Health-Tech
The initial B2B offering was a collection of fragmented ideas. Clinics needed a way to manage patients and conduct remote consultations, but the lack of a standardized UI was stalling sales and onboarding.
Zero Standardization
Every new feature was being designed in isolation, leading to a 'Frankenstein' UI that confused clinicians during high-stakes consultations.
High Barrier to Entry
Onboarding a new clinic required manual database entries and a steep learning curve for non-technical medical staff.
Trust & Reliability
As a new player in the Estonian market, the platform needed to look and feel 'Medical Grade' to win the trust of established healthcare providers.
Product Strategy
The MVP Blueprint
Instead of building a feature-rich platform, we stripped the requirements back to the 'Atomic Loop' of healthcare: Schedule → Consult → Record.
User-Centric Clinician Flow
Mapping the exact physical movements of a doctor to ensure the digital interface complemented their existing clinical workflow.
Standardized Component Logic
Creating a foundational set of input fields, buttons, and layouts to allow for rapid feature deployment during the pilot phase.
Localized Compliance
Ensuring data privacy and ID-logging standards met local Estonian healthcare regulations from Day 1.
Design System
Building Medical-Grade Utility
The design language was born out of a need for 'Unobtrusive Utility.' The UI had to disappear so the focus could remain on the patient-doctor interaction.
- →Inter Variable Typeface for dense clinical data management.
- →High-contrast emerald-based semantic system for health-status signaling.
- →A 4px grid system to ensure tight, efficient use of screen real estate for dashboards.

Deep Dive
The Clinician Dashboard
The heart of the B2B platform. We engineered a 'Single Pane of Glass' architecture, centralizing consultation tools into a single viewport to eliminate navigation fatigue for medical professionals.
Zero-Latency Context
Prioritizing patient history and call controls in the primary focal point to minimize cognitive load and eye-scanning time.
Context-Aware Navigation
A dynamic sidebar that prioritizes active consultation tools while suppressing secondary noise during high-stakes video calls.
Impact & Growth
Reflecting on the Foundation
Being the founding designer for the B2B suite was an exercise in 'Moving Fast without Breaking Trust.' Here is how that experience shaped my current philosophy.
01. Utility Over Aesthetics
I learned that in healthcare, a 'beautiful' button is useless if it's not where a doctor expects it to be. This project taught me to prioritize ergonomic placement over visual trends.
02. Standardization as Speed
By building the foundational components early, I realized we could ship new features in days rather than weeks. This was my first real-world lesson in the ROI of a design system.
03. Managing the 0-to-1 Pivot
Working in a high-pressure startup environment taught me how to embrace 'Good Enough to Ship' to get the feedback loop started, rather than waiting for 'Perfect.'
